I've been looking for a music video for weeks and it's driving me crazy.

The video clip is :

A giant ball of old toys flying into space.
The face of the singer is in the center of this.
Then the ball fly through the sun then burn.

2000 I guess (really not sure).

The toys were real (I remember recognizing this toy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speak_%26_Spell_%28toy%29) no stop motion or 3d, I assume it was simply made on Green cinema background.

At that time I was living in France and I was watching this TV show called "l'aternative" on the m6 channel, that's where I saw him.
But this is not a french song (sound more english than US maybe)

The singer is barely visible in the clip because it's very dark the only thing I remember is that he has a beard but maybe I'm wrong.
I don't really remember the song anymore, it seems to me that it was a pop style with a bit of folk music.

alternative was live from 2006 to 2008 so very small lapse.

bad news : these are local archives, so one must go there with some paper request to consult them...
neutral news, it's not so far from me, but i prefer look first on internet, than spend few days there looking 200 "l alternative", 1h each x_x
