Need some help

I don’t usually listen to much country music. But I was riding with a friend today and heard a piece of a song. I would love to find the artist and listen to the entire thing. It was a male. And he is in a situation where he is not in a typical relationship with someone he apparently loves. They see each other and are still physical but he “doesn’t even know what to call them”. Please help. Thanks so much.
