Another idea: Maybe we could have tags? Requestors could tag their samples, and then users could browse them by choosing combinations of several tags.
e.g.:
#80s #synthpop #new wave
#10s #kpop #boy band
#1975 #acoustic #female vocals
It's useful because of the infinite number of oddly specific genres and subgenres, and things that aren't genres but help narrow down, and make it easier for people who have better knowledge/preference for certain things (e.g. male/female vocals, fast paced; even moods, like cheerful, dark, etc.).
e.g.:
#80s #synthpop #new wave
#10s #kpop #boy band
#1975 #acoustic #female vocals
It's useful because of the infinite number of oddly specific genres and subgenres, and things that aren't genres but help narrow down, and make it easier for people who have better knowledge/preference for certain things (e.g. male/female vocals, fast paced; even moods, like cheerful, dark, etc.).

We will be changing the genres as well.
A quick pick from today's changes:
1. Users can now add an YouTube link to their proposals. Youtube link is displayed in each video that has the link, as well as the recognized ones
2. For better accuracy, when recognized, we first look at the user suggested link and we pull the video based on it. If there is no link, we pull the info from YouTube
3. After the track is recognized, we now pull the video from YouTube instead of DailyMotion
4. If for some reason, the suggested video is wrong, the post owner, the person who suggested the video and moderators can edit it by using the "Not the right video? Edit it." link above each video. This option is also available for old videos.
